WHEN MEN QUESTION GOD'S PROMISES -
Text: 2 Kings 7:1-2
By Pst Edward Freedom

Beloved Africans, I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus.

In Samaria, there was hunger. The kind of hunger we understand in Africa. No food in the market, prices too high, hope lost. People had given up. It looked like the end.

Then Prophet Elisha spoke: "By this time tomorrow, there will be abundance in the gate of Samaria!"

But an African man would understand what happened next — a big man, an officer of the king, questioned God. He said, "Even if God opens windows in heaven, can this happen?"

How many of us speak like that today?

God says your children will be great, and you say, "How? I have no school fees."
God says you will build a house, and you say, "With which money?"
God says your health will be restored, and you say, "Doctor said otherwise."

My brother, my sister, listen to me:

1. Your village situation is not bigger than God's promise. Samaria had real famine, but God's Word was bigger than their famine. Your lack is real, but God's supply is more real.

2. African logic cannot limit the God of all flesh. Our elders say "one hand cannot carry an elephant on the head." Yes, for man it is impossible, but for God, all things are possible. He does not need our ways to bless us.

3. Doubt will make you a spectator of your own miracle. The Word of God came to pass! The city ate and was satisfied. But the man who doubted saw the blessing and did not taste it. Do not allow doubt to remove you from your testimony.

I prophesy to someone reading this: Before tomorrow, God will open a window for you! That job, that womb, that business, that visa, that marital settlement — God will do it overnight!

Hold fast to what God has told you. Africa may be hard now, but your tomorrow will be better than today.
