“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10

Verse 10 completes the thought of verses 8–9 beautifully. We are not saved by good works, but once we are saved, God has good works prepared for us to do. The word workmanship reminds us that we are God’s creation—He is shaping our lives for His purposes. Our service, obedience, and good works are the result of salvation, not the requirement for it.
We are not saved because we work. We work because we’ve been saved.
