MAJOR PROPHETS
ISAIAH 46 — God Carries His People
TODAY’S REFLECTION
1 Samuel 11
Saul responds to the distress of Jabesh-gilead and leads Israel to victory. The chapter shows how God can use a person who is willing to respond courageously to a need and reminds us that victory ultimately comes from the Lord.
Revelation 9
The fifth and sixth trumpets bring terrifying judgments upon the earth. Yet even amid these judgments, humanity is called to recognize its need for God. The chapter reminds us of the seriousness of sin and the urgency of genuine repentance.
Isaiah 46
God contrasts Himself with powerless idols. While idols must be carried, God promises that He carries His people. He remains faithful from beginning to end and will accomplish His purposes.
KEY VERSE
“Even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you.”
— Isaiah 46:4
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You because You are the God who carries us and never abandons us. Give us courage like Saul to respond when You call us to act, and keep our hearts sensitive to Your voice. Help us turn away from anything that competes with You and remain faithful throughout our journey. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
TODAY’S CHALLENGE
Remember that you do not have to carry everything by yourself. Surrender one burden completely to God today and trust Him to carry you through it.
WE STUDY. WE PRAY. WE OBEY. WE GROW. UNTIL WE ARE TOTALLY TRANSFORMED.
