September 6 - Time Is Stewardship

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” (Ephesians 5:15-17 NIV)

Toolbox Talk:
Time is a resource God expects you to manage well. Part of living wisely is spending your time wisely. We lose days to distractions and pointless activities. If you want to move forward, choose what’s important and guard it. You don’t have to have a perfect schedule. What you really need are clear priorities and fewer distractions.

Jobsite Story:
In construction, your time is either being used to build something or it's being lost. I started tracking how I spent my site hours on complex projects and was consistently surprised by what I found. Time not managed is time that gets consumed by whoever has the most urgent request.

Debrief:
Where does your time leak most: phone, interruptions or saying yes to many times?
What is one time block you will protect this week?

Prayer:
Lord, help me use time wisely. Show me what to cut and what to protect. Amen.

Takeaway:
Protect what matters.
