For 30 years the Lord has impressed upon me, the need for the “WITNESS” aspect of church to be strengthened and restored. The Megas Martyria is Greek for Greater Witness. The apostle John stated, “If ye receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater.” 1 John 5:9. He was also the only apostle to quote Jesus saying, “I have greater witness, than that of John (The Baptist).” John 5:36. The Megas Martyria is a declaration conceived from the above scriptures. It is my concern that for many years the church has become everything (denominationally speaking and then some) other than what Jesus said we should be, “WITNESSES”. Failure to occupy this position, allows its vacancy to be filled by concepts that are contrary and or inconsistent with the true revelation and reality of the Christian Witness. Jesus told the apostles, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8. For a great part and for many years, there has been a false witness unto Christ as Jesus said there would be. The scripture states in Exodus 20:16 (KJV)
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. In Exodus 23:1 (KJV)
Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 15:19 (KJV), For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies….which defile a man or make the same profane and common. Yet what God has cleansed, let no man call common….
