Don’t deceive yourself: you cannot claim to desire eternity with God while deliberately holding an unforgiving heart. Forgiveness is not weakness it is obedience to God.

Jesus Christ said, If you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:15

The Word of God says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

Let go of bitterness. Release the offense. Forgive as Jesus Christ forgave you. Don’t allow someone’s offense to become a barrier between you and God.

You cannot live with an unforgiving heart and expect to spend eternity with God in heaven. Forgiveness is not optional for a believer; it is a reflection of the mercy and forgiveness we have received from God.

Jesus Christ said, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14 15 (NIV)

The Bible also warns us to remove bitterness, anger, and resentment from our hearts:

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger… along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:31–32 (NIV)

Choose forgiveness. Choose love. Choose eternity with God.
