Hello, I would like to share with you the message from 5 septembre 2026 from “The Good Seed” daily calendar.
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. (1 Thessalonians 5:6)
Being watchful
As Christians, it is necessary for us to constantly watch over ourselves and condemn everything that comes from the old nature. At the same time, we should be mindful that biblical truth fills our hearts and shapes our lives.
Instead of spiritually sleeping, we must be awake and await the coming of the Lord. This hope should shape our thoughts and influence our behaviour.
How important it is that we keep a tender conscience and avoid anything that weakens our devotion to the Lord and hinders our service to Him:
– Let us devote ourselves to only what we can do with a clear conscience in the presence of the Lord.
– Let us beware of anything that tries to steal time away from reading the Bible and praying.
– Let us not go anywhere without asking God for His guidance.
– Let us protect ourselves from influences and situations that harm our faith.
– Let us consume only what we can genuinely thank our Lord for.
– Let us live each day as those who are on the way to their heavenly home.
As we walk through a world full of temptations, we can rejoice in the love of God and enjoy fellowship with the Father and His Son. By nurturing our relationship with God in this way, we will be kept from a thousand pitfalls.
Today’s reading: Judges 6:1-13 – 2 Corinthians 5:10-21
