“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you...”

God does not call us to live as ordinary people. He has given us POWER to live, win, and reign. 
A believer without power is a target. A believer with power is a threat to hell.

Today we will look at POWER OF THE WORD every child of God must walk in:


2. THE POWER OF THE WORD — HEBREWS 4:12
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword...”

What it is: The Word is not ink on paper. It is God’s sword and Spirit. _Eph 6:17

4 Things The Word Does:
1.  Discerns — _Heb 4:12 It exposes thoughts and motives
2.  Creates — _Gen 1:3 God spoke and it was
3.  Heals — _Ps 107:20 “He sent his word, and healed them”
4.  Builds — _Acts 20:32 “The word of his grace, which is able to build you up”

Truth: A Bible in the head is not enough. It must be in the heart and in the mouth. _Josh 1:8, Rom 10:8

Application: Powerless Christians are Word-starved Christians. Feed daily. Speak it. Obey it.
