Kingdom Carriers | What Culture Do You Carry?

Every kingdom has a culture.

Its values shape how people think, speak and live.

The Kingdom of God is no different.

Jesus didn't merely call us to believe in the King. He called us to increasingly reflect the nature of the King.

When the world says retaliate, the King says forgive.

When the world says accumulate, the King teaches generosity.

When the world celebrates self-promotion, the King honours humility.

When the world asks, "Who is greatest?" Jesus points toward servanthood.

So here's a confronting question:

If people couldn't hear what I believe, could they recognise the Kingdom by the culture I carry?

Jesus said:
"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35)

A Kingdom Carrier doesn't only carry a message about the King.

We carry the culture of the King.

Into our homes. Our workplaces. Our relationships. Even our disagreements.

Perhaps one of the greatest ways we proclaim the Kingdom is not simply by telling people where we belong, but by allowing them to encounter something of the King in the way we live.

Grace and peace,

Jacob
