Your good friend told you the truth about something so you would rather avoid him or her and walk with bootlickers. Many people have compromised on their purpose and calling in life 🧬 because the road 🛣️ to ease( their dreams ✨) is paved with difficulty. However, you need to understand that as you continue to choose the path of ease it will eventually lead you to a place of difficulty in the end. You don't want to wake up one day and regret it for not chasing your dream ✨. If Esau had chosen the path of waiting a little in order to cook his own food(difficulty) rather than sell his birthright for food (ease) we would probably have a nation named Esau today. We would have been saying "the God of Abraham, Isaac and Esau"(Gen. 25:29-34). Nelson Mandela chose a difficult path of prison rather than compromise on his beliefs.
