The Old Testament is filled with prophecies of the Messiah which were fulfilled in Jesus. Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit and descended from the line of King David. In His humanness, He underwent pain, suffering, loneliness, rejection, desertion, and sorrow. He was tempted in all points just as we are, and yet was without sin. His divine nature was revealed through His powerful teachings, miracles, signs, and wonders, as well as the authority He exerted over nature, sickness, sin and death. By His death and resurrection, Jesus proved that He was indeed the Son of God, our Saviour, Lord and Messiah.
