The problem that man has with the Bible (both non religious and religious) is this: God’s ways are not man’s ways. If we wish to follow God we must put away our own thoughts, and desires, and motivations, and take on the wisdom of God. If we want the Holy Ghost (who dwells inside of us) to reveal the godly wisdom hidden in the Scriptures, we have to do it God’s way, by His means. If we want to see the deep truths of Scripture we must quit trying to get the Bible to tell us what WE want it to tell us for our own purposes; we have to begin to listen to what the Bible has to tell us. We have to quit wanting a piece of data for our own selfish purposes!
If we’re going to profit from our study of the Bible, we MUST quit interpreting it from our peculiar bias or denominational position.
