GOD DELIVERED MY MUM FROM DEATH

One night, I was suddenly awakened. I tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn't. I tried everything I could, but sleep just wouldn't come. I forced my eyes closed, hoping I would eventually drift off, but to no avail.

Then I heard God say to me, “Why not use the time to pray instead?”

So I simply began to pray quietly in tongues while lying on my bed. I prayed for over an hour. Eventually, I had peace, and I don't even remember when I fell asleep.

The following morning, while I was trying to withdraw money from the bank, I received a call from my sister.

She told me my mother was dead.

Right there, my world was shattered.

I couldn't understand it. I asked God, “Why didn't You tell me that my mother was going to die?”

I ran to my church. I just wanted to cry, sob, and ask God questions. I couldn't hold myself together.

But while I was on my way, my sister called again.

“She's alive!”

I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

My mother had been on a moving motorcycle. Behind them was a heavy-duty truck. Suddenly, the motorcycle slipped, and my mother fell backward onto the road. The motorcyclist quickly moved away so that the truck would not crush him.

But my mother was left lying directly in the path of the truck.

The truck was about to roll over her.

Then, somehow, the truck swerved into a bush and crashed into a tree instead.

My mother was alive!

That night, I thought I had simply been unable to sleep.

I didn't know that while I was lying on my bed praying, my mother would soon be lying on a road with a heavy-duty truck coming toward her.

I didn't know why I was awake.

I didn't know what I was praying about.

But I prayed.

And I believe God was already at work.

Sometimes, you may not understand why you suddenly feel the urge to pray. You may not know what is happening or why you cannot sleep. But when that prompting comes, pray.

You may not know what is happening in the physical, but God does.
