TODAY’S BIBLE READING
OLD TESTAMENT
1 Samuel 19 — Saul Pursues David
Saul’s jealousy grows into an attempt to kill David, but Jonathan and Michal help protect him. David experiences opposition even while faithfully serving God.
Lesson: God can preserve us even when people oppose us. We must respond to hatred with wisdom rather than becoming hateful ourselves.
NEW TESTAMENT
Revelation 17 — The Woman and the Scarlet Beast
John sees a powerful symbolic picture of spiritual corruption, worldly influence, and God's ultimate victory over evil.
Lesson: Not everything that looks powerful or attractive is pleasing to God. We must remain spiritually discerning and faithful.
MAJOR PROPHETS
Isaiah 54 — The Future Glory of God's People
After the suffering described in Isaiah 53, God speaks of restoration, enlargement, protection, and everlasting covenant love.
Lesson: Your present season does not determine your final destiny. God is able to restore, enlarge, and establish what He has promised.
KEY VERSE
“For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name.”
— Isaiah 54:5
TODAY'S PRAYER
Lord, help me remain faithful when I face opposition. Give me wisdom to recognize what is not from You, and keep my heart from bitterness and compromise. Thank You for Your covenant love and the promise of restoration. Establish me in Your purpose and help me remain faithful until the end. Amen.
TODAY'S CHALLENGE
Don't allow opposition to change your character.
Whatever difficulty or resistance you face today, respond with wisdom, prayer, and faithfulness rather than anger or revenge.
WE STUDY. WE PRAY. WE OBEY. WE GROW. UNTIL WE ARE TOTALLY TRANSFORMED. @⁨all⁩
