The first time the righteousness of God was revealed was to Abraham. Genesis 15:6 says,
"Abram believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness. This righteousness was based only on the faith of Abraham, and not on his works.

The law given through Moses was only a guide to lead us to Jesus, who kept the law perfectly and bore the sins of all mankind on Himself. By His perfect sacrifice Jesus now offers this Righteousness of God to anyone who believes in Him.

This righteousness cannot be earned by legalism, good works, penance or pilgrimages. It is God's gracious gift to anyone who believes in Jesus.

Have a wonderful day, and let's live out this righteousness of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
