GIVE GOD YOUR HEART

Bible Text: Proverbs 23:26
“My son, give me thine heart; and let thine eyes observe my ways.”

God is more interested in the state of our heart than in what we can give to Him. He owns us, and He owns everything we have. Whatever we possess, whether our time, strength, abilities, resources, or possessions, ultimately comes from Him. Therefore, there is nothing we can give God that He does not already own.

What God desires most is our heart. He wants a heart that knows Him, loves Him, trusts Him, and is surrendered to His will. The greatest concern of God is not merely what we do for Him, but who we are before Him and the condition of our heart and soul.

We may give our money, offer our service, sacrifice our time, and use our gifts in His work, yet all these can be offered without truly giving Him our heart. God is looking beyond our outward activities; He looks into the heart. He desires that our devotion to Him should come from within and not merely be an outward religious expression.

When our heart truly belongs to God, what we give to Him will proceed from genuine love and devotion. Our service will have meaning, our sacrifices will have sincerity, and our obedience will flow from a heart that has been won by His love.

Therefore, let us not be more concerned about what we can give God than about giving Him our heart. For when God has our heart, He has the most precious thing He desires from us.

God's Loving Heart.
