GOD HATES LYING LIPS

KEY VERSE: “Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight” (PROVERBS 12:22).

BIBLE TEXT: PROVERBS 12:18-22

According to the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, “Lying is, to say or write something that you know is not true.” A lie is told with deliberate intention to conceal the truth and deceive. Testifying of his past life, a man of God said, “I recalled with abhorrence, how we were actively practicing and perfecting our lying skills as teenagers in the high school, hoping we were on the right path to smartness; we never knew we were descending the bottomless valley of destruction…But when Christ met me…lying became so disgusting that I cannot now tolerate any form of it around me.”

Friend, if you are living in lies and deceit, and getting away with it, you are not wise. God is Omniscient and can never be deceived. Ananias and Sapphira died because of lying. God hates lying lips. It is an abomination to Him. Desist from lying, confess your sins to Christ and receive Him as your Lord and Saviour. He will save you, and empower you to live a righteous and truthful life, with eternal life as your reward

PRAYER: Save me Lord and deliver me from lying lips.

CHALLENGE: Surrender your life to Christ to be free from lies.
