Lamentations 3:21–26 is a powerful passage about finding hope in God even in the middle of suffering, grief, and uncertainty.

“This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.”

What it means

“This I recall to my mind… therefore have I hope.”
Sometimes hope begins with deliberately remembering who God is rather than focusing only on what you’re going through.

“His compassions fail not. They are new every morning.”
God’s mercy isn’t exhausted by yesterday’s failures. Every morning is another opportunity to receive His grace and walk forward with Him.

“Great is Thy faithfulness.”
Our circumstances can change. Our emotions can change. People can change. God’s faithfulness does not.

“The LORD is my portion.”
This is a declaration that God Himself is enough. Even when everything else feels uncertain, we can say, “I still have Him.”

“Hope… wait… seeketh him.”
Biblical waiting isn’t giving up. It’s continuing to seek God and trust Him while His answer has not yet become clear.
