Ephesians 2:20-22 describes believers as a spiritual building, joined together on the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone. The Foundation (Verse 20): The church stands on the teaching and role of the apostles and prophets.The Cornerstone (Verse 20): Jesus Christ is the chief cornerstone. He holds the entire structure together and gives it direction and support.The Growing Temple (Verse 21): Believers are fitted together. They grow into a holy temple dedicated to the Lord.God's Dwelling Place (Verse 22): God lives inside this spiritual building through the Holy Spirit.
