Jesus broke down the wall of partition between the Jews and the Gentiles, creating one body from the two, which He called the Church, also known to Him as the nation of Israel. Every Jew and Gentile who accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior has become a member of the Church and is recognized by God as a citizen of the nation of Israel. Jesus, who is the King of Israel, is also the Head of the Church. The Church is another name for the nation of Israel. The Jews in Christ are recognized as Israelites and the Church in the land of Canaan, while the Gentiles in Christ, wherever they may be, are Israelites and the Church in that land.
