Heavenly Father, on this Thankful Thursday morning, we come before you with grateful hearts. We thank you for the gift of a new day and for the blessings that await us. Your Word reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is your will for us in Christ Jesus. Today, we choose to obey this command and offer our thanks to you.
We thank you for your faithfulness that never fails. You are the source of all goodness and we are thankful for the grace and mercy you freely give. Thank you for your unchanging love and for the ways you have provided for us. We thank you for the people in our lives who support and encourage us, for the roof over our heads, and the food on our tables.
Lord, we also want to express our gratitude for the challenges and trials we have faced. Through them, we have grown in faith and dependence on you. We thank you for the lessons learned and the strength gained.
As we go about our day, help us to continually have a heart of thanksgiving. Keep us mindful of all the ways you bless us. Lord, we also lift up those who are less fortunate and struggling during this time. May they find comfort and strength in You and may we be your hands and feet to extend love and help to them.
May we have a heart of gratitude and praise in everything we do. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
