Matthew 7:1-6 Be Careful About Judging Others Comparing NCV Nelson 7223y, KJV Simplified
Be Careful About Judging Others
Matthew 7:1-6 NCV Nelson 7223y "Don't judge others, or you will be judged.
You will be judged in the same way that you judge others, and the amount you give to others will be given to you.
"Why do you notice the little piece of dust in your friends eye, but you don't notice the big piece of wood in your own eye?
How can you say to your friend, "Let me take that little piece of dust out of your eye'? Look at yourself! You still have that big piece of wood in your own eye.
You hypocrite! First, take the wood out of your own eye. Then you will see clearly to take the dust out of your friend's eye.
"Don't give holy things to dogs, and don't throw your pearls before pigs. Pigs will only trample on them, and dogs will turn to attack you.
Do Not Criticize Other People
Romans 14:1-4 NCV Nelson 7223y Accept into your group someone who is weak in faith, and do not argue about opinions.
One person believes it is right to eat all kinds of food. But another, who is weak, believes it is right to eat only vegetables.
The one who knows that it is right to eat any kind of food must not reject the one who eats only vwgetables. And the person who eats only vegetables must not think that the one whe eats all foods is wrong, because God has accepted that person.
You cannot judge another person's servant. The master decides if the servant is going well or not. And the Lord's servant will do well because the Lord helps him do well.
Wickedness in the Church
1 Corinthians 5:1-5 NCV Nelson 7223y It is actually being said that there is sexual sin among you. And it is a kind that does not happen even among people who do not know God. A man there has his father's wife.
And you are proud! You should have been filled with sadness so that the man who did this should be put out of your group.
I am not there with you in person, but I am with you in spirit. And I have already judged the man who did that sin as if I were really there.
When you meet together in the name of our Lord Jesus, and I with you in spirit with the power of our Lord Jesus,
then hand this man over to Satan. So his sinful self will be destroyed, and his spirit will be saved on the day of the Lord.
Look at Yourselves
Luke 6:37-42 NCV Nelson 7223y "Don't judge others, and you will not be judged. Don't accuse others of being guilty, and you will not be accused of being guilty. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Give, and you will receive. You will be given much. Pressed down, shaken together, and running over, it will spill into your lap. The way you give to others is the way God will give to you."
Jesus told them this story: Can a blind person lead another blind person? No! Both of them will fall into a ditch.
A student is not better than the teacher, but the student who has been fully trained will be like the teacher.
"Why do you notice the little piece of dust in your friend's eye, but you don't notice the big piece of wood in your own eye?
How can you say to your friend, 'Friend, let me take that little piece of dust out of your eye when you cannot see that big piece of wood in your own eye! You hypocrite! First, take the wood out of your own eye. Then you will see clearly to take the dust out of your friend's eye.
Proverbs 9:7-9 NCV Nelson 7223y "If you correct someone who makes fun of wisdom, you will be insulted. If you correct an evil person, you will get hurt.
Do not correct those who make fun of wisdom, or they will hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you.
Teach the wise, and they will become even wiser; teach good people, and they will learn even more.
