EFFECTS OF THE CURSE.
The original creation of the earth was complete: “God saw that it was good” (Genesis 1:10, 12, 18, 21, 25). The world around us has changed from the time of the Garden of Eden and post-Flood. The change was a result of the Fall of man—an event which altered the world and God’s original creation. Immediately following this event God spoke to Adam, saying, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field”
We have thorns and thistles and ultimately death as a result of the curse.
Jesus was crucified while wearing a crown of thorns that was beaten into his forehead. It wasn't placed there gently. I do not believe this was by coincidence.
Jesus broke the curse so that WE can have the chance to be saved and LIVE with Him eternally, where there is no longer pain or death.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".
