*LEARN FROM AN OPEN REBUKE.*

Proverbs 27:5 (KJV)..... *Open rebuke is better Than secret love.*

I like the lesson I learn from our open scripture each time I read this verse of the scripture. I learn a lot from the word of Solomon the writer, but I would like to show you two things you see from this verse of scripture.

The first one is that there is such a thing as a secret love. This kind of love is destructive because it doesn’t come with any warning or rebuke. This kind of love is blinded to the errors you see around an individual, simply because you don’t want to stop getting from the person what you get. Knowing that standing up and speaking against the evil you see the person do will automatically stop the favours. This is not love at all but evil.

Any love you claim you have for someone that will stop you from saying the truth that will help the person is not love at all.

And the second lesson is this: An open rebuke is better than secret love.

No rebuke is sweet to the flesh, whether it is done openly or in secret, but the aim of all rebuke is such that you are corrected and stopped from destroying yourself. So, instead of focusing on why you were rebuked openly, take the lesson and move on. For in so doing, you will not only save yourself, but you will save those that will hear you or come into your world. Be wise.

Prayer:
Oh, how I love your word. Oh, how I love to take in your word. For it is medicine to all my flesh and it keeps me from evil. Thank you father for sending me your word today in Jesus name. Amen.

Bible Reference: Psalm 119: 1-30.

Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 17:8 (MSG).... *..Receiving a gift is like getting a rare gemstone; any way you look at it, you see beauty refracted.*
