II am searching scripture for a verse or verses' by Paul or Peter and other writers that describe God as a trinity. I don't believe in a trinity as the Roman Church does: God the Father, God the Son Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit. I do believe in God and His Spirit, and His word became flesh. This is Emmanuel, God with us, and His Spirit that moved over the earth in the beginning. The Old Testament Jews, all the way from Genesis to Malachi, never used God as three; they had God, His word, and His Spirit. I search for "Did Paul ever speak of a Trinity?" The response was, "Nothing in Paul’s background predisposed him to believe in—or to even understand—a God in three persons. Paul’s understanding of God came through a revelation from God, "His Spirit," about His Son, concerning the identity and mission of Jesus the Messiah, leading to a fuller understanding of God Himself." "Emmanue".
