Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.
Isaiah 40:31

Thought Of The Day...
As we look up into the skies, our eyes may catch sight of a majestic bird (maybe even an eagle) soaring through the heavens—oh, the freedom, the power, the grace! Today we might be able to fly in an airplane, but that’s not the same as soaring on eagles’ wings. Our verse for today, though, says we will soar like eagles because our hope is in the Lord.
Are you catching on to what I am seeing? The people of God were in exile. They were despondent and feeling hopeless. Worst of all, it seemed that God had abandoned or forgotten them. Listen to their lament: “My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God.”
Perhaps we have felt the same way. We can be victims of crime, disease, abuse, and divorce; we can suffer devastating loss. Recently I heard a young women share her story of abuse, addiction, homelessness, and thoughts of suicide. The devil tried to convince her that she was worthless and did not deserve any blessing. But she learned to fly! How? By placing her hope and trust in the Lord Jesus, who came to this world to give us life “to the full” (John 10:10).
God means for us all to soar with hope—both now and forever. With the God who “will not grow tired or weary,” life is never hopeless. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, we may be filled with the hope of full life, assured by God’s Spirit that his promises are true.

Prayer...
Heavenly Father, we come before you with grateful hearts, recognizing that you are our strength and our refuge. As we reflect on Isaiah 40:31, we are reminded of your promise that those who hope in you will renew their strength. We thank you for your faithfulness and unwavering love, even in our moments of doubt and weakness.

We ask for your guidance and wisdom as we navigate through life's challenges. Help us to trust in your perfect timing and plan, knowing that you are always with us and working everything for our good. Give us the courage and perseverance to wait on you, for we know that those who wait on you will mount up with wings like eagles.

Lord, teach us to rely on your strength and not our own. May we run and not grow weary, walk and not faint, as we lean on your everlasting arms. Give us the grace to persevere in the face of trials, knowing that you are our source of peace and comfort.

Thank you for your never-ending love and faithfulness, O Lord. We praise your holy name and put our trust in you. May we always soar like eagles, lifted up by your Spirit, and give glory to you in all things. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.
