The Scriptures above reveal clearly to us that God's system of operation is totally different from the world system of operation. The system of this world says you must be swift to win the race, you must be strong to win the battle, you must be wise to have bread, you must be rich to have access to understanding and you must have favour to be skillful. However, sometimes, God suspends these rules to enforce His counsel among men. So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy.
When a man or woman has access to grace, he can beat all the human rules to triumph just as David did to Goliath, and the three Hebrew boys conquered King Nebuchadnezzar and the entire system of Babylon. Grace has always been the distinguishing factor in the race of life. The seat of power in heaven is called the throne of grace, and when you get to the throne of grace, you see the mercy seat and there you have access to the bread of champions.
Grace and mercy are the two sides of the same coin that summarise all of God's abilities and operations in the lives of men and women. A man advances in grace as he advances in his fellowship with God. The more a man seeks the face of God, the more the grace of God accrues to his life and endeavour. Great time spent with God in the place of the word and prayers brings GREAT GRACE.
Beloved, grace only comes to those who are tired of their own strength and human abilities. It shows up strongly when a man is going through a season of serious struggle and helplessness. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12: 7-8, "Three times I besought the Lord to take away the thorns in my flesh but three times the Lord told me that His grace is sufficient for me. For My strength is made perfect in your weakness." Grace is a game changer. It turns darkness to light, weakness to strength, liabilities to assets, frustration to fulfilment, pain to power and sorrow to success. Receive grace to succeed in the race, in Jesus' name.
