I work in OSCH in Adelaide South Australia. This is before and after school care for children whose parents work. A couple of years ago I was at one site, and it was around Easter time and the person who was doing an activity with the children asked the children to write "What does Easter mean to you?"
There were 12 responses from the children and not one of them, mentioned that it was about the death and resurrection of Jesus. One child openly wrote I do not know what Easter is. As we are coming into the season of Christmas, I ask the question do people know what the Christmas event is?
