Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
Over the weekend, God showed me something that I was doing … in two different ways. One way I was holding someone to a standard of my experience and knowledge without fully finding out what their level of knowledge in that subject was and in the same breath chastising them for the same thing. Can we say the pot calling the kettle black?
When this revelation came to me, of my wrongdoing, I seriously sat and thought about my actions. I tell my girls that I do a lot of stuff on autopilot because I have been doing it for so long, so if there is something that I do or say that they do not understand the ‘why’ of, they need to speak up. I am disappointed in myself for not seeing the signs earlier, because in retro spec … He was showing my error … I just was not looking.
I have approached the individual and apologized. I also explained that I would be willing to show them each time what I am doing or at least ask if they are familiar with it. Knowing me, I will be pushy, but they are taller so my tail could be in danger. Haha.
When we find ourselves on this path, own the error and learn from it, then correct it. I know that I am a slow learner. I will more than likely find myself right back here without question. But each time, tweaks the learning curve and eventually I will not make this error, at least not as badly, again. Part of our walk is knowing when we are wrong and being willing to admit it … even in the face of those who may not be believers and may mock. No one wants to be ‘that’ person; however, I will volunteer if I assures me a spot in heaven. He is my witness … not the world.
Be blessed today my friends.
