Why Being Forgetful Is Godly
Throughout Scripture, God tells us numerous times He would never ever remember our sins again.
“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more” (Hebrews 8:12).
“He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities” (Psalm 103:10).
If or when you ever feel condemned, guilty, or ashamed about any sin, you are ignorantly forgetting how amazing God’s forgiveness is toward you.
Forget what God forgets, and you will align your heart with His heart and flow in His life for you.
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
