Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Today is an exiting day for me. God has blessed me with an in-store book signing. The store is In His Time books and gifts in Crawfordsville. This is my first in-store signing. With this signing event have been other firsts. I made my first radio commercial. That was intimidating and way out of my wheelhouse…but has proven to have been a success. Several people have come up to me and said that they heard it. The first person that told me was actually my daughter. I think it was the day after I made it. Let me tell you about it.

I was at work and got a text from her that she heard the commercial. I asked if she liked it or if it was good. She said yes to both questions. Because of the time, I thought she was at work and when she heard my voice she freaked out. Later I found out that she was in the store when it came on. In the commercial I introduce myself and my daughter said to herself, did that just say Karalee Ratliff? But she went about her business and then in the part that says the titles of my books she realized that it was me. Apparently, she was having a conversation with herself when an associate asked if she needed help, and she politely told them that her mother was in their speakers. And that it was a little weird.

Surprise homecomings are a vastly growing trend all over the world. Loved ones returning home from deployments, extended absences due to business or moving…the heartfelt warmth of their return home. Tears overflow to the point of flooding and the genuine ease of their return resets our internal stress level to zero.

Where God does not endure stress, his heart resets to day one each time we slide or fall away but make our way back to Him. It does not matter how long we have been gone, we know His voice and we know that he is calling us home.

Just like my voice freaked out my daughter in a store she knew I could not be in at the same time as her, His voice will come at a time and place you do not think that He exists. When we fall away, we are led to believe that He no longer cares for us and the enemy plays on that. However, that is far from the truth. His love for us endures forever and when we fall, he pursues earnestly for our return. Then when we quit listening to the enemy and only hear Him, his embrace is that of the father whose son returned home.

Today the ground is covered in snow. The white tundra. I am not a big fan of messing with snow anymore, however, I do know that the snow brings new beginnings for the spring and is a necessity for the revitalization of the ground. Whatever snowbank you are in right now, hear His voice and know that your snow angel is right there with you. Listen for His voice.

Be blessed today my friends.
