*HATED FOR THE GOSPEL'S SAKE (PART 2).*
John 15:24 (KJV)..... *If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and HATED both me and my Father.*
Results in life and ministry are a thing of joy. When you have a good result to show for your toil over a thing, it gladdens the hearts, but when there are no positive or good results, questions are asked. But do you know that as good and pleasant results are, not everyone rejoices over it?
Miracles are supposed to make people happy because God still answers prayers and that God is with man, but there are people who will wish you dead simply because the miracle that the whole world is celebrating came through you. This is witchcraft.
This is exactly what the Bible is showing us in our theme scripture. “ *HE WAS HATED FOR THE WORK'S SAKE.”* The Greek word for “Hated” as used by the Lord Jesus is the word “ *Miseo* ,” and it means by extension to love less, i.e., a state of “ *Hatefulness* .”.
Why this? Because he performed a miracle that people are celebrating. I have seen this too in my life; there are people today who just hate me for just answering the call of God. They can’t say I did anything wrong to them, but just for the gospel's sake. Do not let this bother you.
Prayer:
Oh heavenly father, you are good and you do good things. I pray that you protect me today from the hands of wicked and unreasonable men who hate the gospel. Amen.
Bible Reference: John 15:1-24, Mathew 6:10-14.
Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 10:2 (MSG).... *.Ill-gotten gain gets you nowhere; an honest life is immorta*
John 15:24 (KJV)..... *If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and HATED both me and my Father.*
