*THE LIGHT OF LIFE.*

John 8:12 (KJV)... *.Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, BUT SHALL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE* .

There are numerous benefits you enjoy by having Christ in your life and by following him. One of such benefits is what our Lord is speaking of in our theme scripture today. He said: “ He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, BUT SHALL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE”. This is so powerful.

You shall not walk in darkness because you shall have the light of life. This means that the light of life will deal with every form of darkness that is trying to raise its ugly head. Just like you walk into a dark room and don’t pray against the darkness, but just turn on the light, and the darkness will disappear. So it is with what the master is talking about.

But what is the light of life? The phrase is not properly rendered in the King James version. It reads, “But shall have the light of life.” But it should have been translated like this.

*BUT WILL HAVE THE LIGHT WHICH IS LIFE.*

So, it is not that we have the light of life, but that we have THE LIGHT, WHICH IS LIFE. This is what it means. It means that the life you have now from Christ is the light that dispels darkness. Glory be to God.

Prayer:
Oh Father, how I thank you for your word. For the illumination it cast within me and the knowledge it impart me to stop the works of darkness. I am grateful Lord.
