*DON’T SIN AGAINST GOD WITH YOUR WORDS* .
Job 2:10 (NLT)...... *But Job replied, “You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?” SO IN ALL THIS, JOB SAID NOTHING WRONG.*
One of the signs by which your maturity is measured in Christ is by your words. Words are powerful. What you voice out tells us what you are thinking in your heart. I know that silence is a message, but it is easier to detect what is in a man’s heart by his words than his silence.
With all that Job was going through, he never said anything wrong against God. Can we learn from him? Are you the type that is quick to voice your frustration with God? Serving God is not by force. So if you have chosen to serve him, then you have to abide by the rules of service.
We are not permitted to speak against God no matter what we are going through because it shows our level of faith in him. Jesus was brought before the slaughter, but he opened not his mouth. Instead of opening your mouth to say rubbish, it is better you keep it shut because whatever you say will be used against you. Be guided.
Prayer:
Lord, I am sorry for the many times I have questioned you or complained about your move. I thank you for showing me through your word how I ought to behave and i vow to follow this all the days of my life in Jesus name. Amen.
Bible Reference: Psalm 34:1-22.
