Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Last night was another peaceful sleep. Last night I was so relaxed that I did not set any alarms. For me, that is alarming. I do have an internal clock that normally wakes me long before I plan to get up, however, sometimes it takes a time out. Fortunately, today was a great day because I woke up at the precise time, I usually put my feet on the floor…445. As I snuggled into my fluffy pillow, the thought of something is off waved through my mind. I tried to brush it off and then it hit me…did you set your alarms? Looking at my phone I realized that I needed to get off my pillow before it took me captive.

When I walked into the kitchen to start my coffee, I thought that I had two pods, which would enough for this morning…NOPE. I have one. Sad part is, I went to the store last night knowing that I was out of coffee and forgot coffee knowing that coffee is my energy drink in the morning. Fear not, those who work with me, I know I have one left in my locker; therefore you will be safe.

Today is going to be a short and furious day. I have to leave early to take my mom to her doctor’s visit. It is Christmas season in the post office and even when you think the rush has slowed … it hasn’t. The last two days have been excitingly busy. (Side note: those of you frustrated with the post office … I totally understand … I do. My package I sent to western side of Illinois, apparently took a trip to Detroit, Michigan. I totally see how that will get my package there quicker … hahaha.) Back on track.

Yesterday I told you about the people in my life and how they have molded me and helped me. Today I want you to look at the events of your life. What are they doing FOR you? Look at the three things that I listed. I overslept because I did not set my alarms. I forgot to get coffee. Work is somewhat crazy with the season, with a side not of how my package went way north to go west. I have a choice to make. I can be upset and have a moody day seeing all the negative or I can see the positive and see the blessings.

I woke up in plenty of time because I have set a routine in my body and my body took care of me. Ninety-nine percent of my customers are pleasant and just eager to get their packages to their destinations. They enjoy coming to our little post office because we care. My package … I must of have put the compass in there sideways, so it got lost with a folded-up map. I see the misdirection every day, the person is not expecting it so it cannot be late. I just giggle. As for my coffee…well that is a bit more drastic. One should never forget coffee. I will have to punish myself with 50 lashes of a wet snickerdoodle. No coffee is almost unforgivable.

I promise you that today I will be making jokes about the coffee issue, driving it right into the ground. I may even pick on my own package issue for a while to give coffee a break. My point is this, I will make jokes and create humor, which in turn will cause smiles to formulate and moods to change. I am making the choice to not be downcast, to live in the moment. Everything today will work out for the best. I will not allow the enemy to take my joy and peace today. No matter what happens. Will you join me in having a wonderful day?

Be blessed today my friends.
