In 2023, I was blessed to conduct the funeral for my Cousin Danny Ray Carter. I was able to share with my family that we do not have to mourn as the world mourns because we know we will see our Loved Ones and Friends in Heaven again one day soon. The Apostle Paul tells us that one day the Dead in Christ will rise first and then in less than the twinkling of an eye those of us who are still alive will join them in the air. Over the last year, and especially in the last few weeks, I have been told far too many times of the death of someone I care about. Yet, with each loss I cling to this promise. The End is drawing near and soon we who are part of the Family of God will meet those who have gone ahead and be with Jesus in Paradise forever.
