Opening Scriptures before the Message
Isaiah 55:11 NKJV Passages of Life So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:19-21 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
How to hear and understand the Gospel
The LORD Reveals His Omnipotence to Job
Job 38:1-3 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said;
"Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?
Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.
God's Challenge to Job
Job 40:6-7 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:
"Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.
Job 42:4-7 Listen, please, and let me speak; You said, 'I will question you, and you shall answer Me.'
"I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You.
Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes."
And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to E-li'phaz the Te'man-ite, "My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.
Israel Rejects the Gospel
Romans 10:14-17 How then shall they call on Him of whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For I'sai'ah says, "LORD, who has believed our report?"
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Acts 26:17-18 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,
to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'
Romans 15:4-7 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,
that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Glorify God Together
Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.
