Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
While looking at my weather thingy, it appears that we will have a wet Christmas this year instead of a white Christmas. I think most will agree that wet instead of white for this area of the country is not a happy thing. A white Christmas brings a sense of calm and beauty to the day. I do know of some that get downright testy when there is not a white Christmas, however, today I want you to look at some map points and look at this from a different view.
I am quite sure that if Los Angeles had a white Christmas, they would all freeze. Accordingly, I have never seen on the news that Hawaii had a blizzard. I am fairly certain that there is not much snow in the Bahamas. Then there is this scenario, what about Israel? Do you really think that Christ was born with snow on the ground. It rarely snows in Israel and the only time it is even possible is in January and February…that in turn, even with all the ‘experts’ deciphering of when He was truly born, not in those two months. Do not let what is not outside, determine what should be inside…Love…Togetherness…Family memories. It is not what is outside that is going to make the celebration great, it is what is in the inside…the inside of your heart and the inside of your home.
The enemy will take this time, in the northern sectors of the world where snow is common, he will take the lack of snow and try to turn you upside down because of its absence. With the added notion of rain being the option predicted, not a great substitute … but remember … the true reason is the birth of our savior. So it rains instead of snows, it is still the celebration of His birth, and we all know that with THAT, we received the best gift ever.
Keep your heads up this wet Christmas and embrace the love of the Child who was born to give us new life.
Be blessed today my friends.
