*DON’T ABUSE YOUR LIBERTY IN CHRIST.*
Galatians 5:13 (KJV)..... *For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.*
We must never abuse the liberty we have in Christ Jesus. There is a lot of abuse in the Christianity of today, and we no longer have boundaries. Nothing is checkmating us, and nobody is telling us the area we shouldn’t go because they believe we are under grace.
One of the liberties we have in Christ is that of the liberty of the spirit. The Bible says the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [2 Corinthians 3:17].
So, he is in us; therefore, we are at liberty, but we must not be found abusing that liberty. An example is to lie that the Spirit said to you while he never said anything. This is an abuse of liberty.
Another example is to find a Christian brother who hugs a sister like a fellow brother in the name of being free at heart. This is wrong. Don’t date a sister in church, and after having your way with her, you came with “The spirit said.” And you sisters too, be careful.
Prayer:
I am a child of God and I have the Holy Spirit living in me. Therefore, I shun the way of the world and I flee from every abuse of the spirit in Jesus name. Amen.
Bible Reference: 1 Corinthians 5:1-13.
Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 10:7 (MSG)..... *A good and honest life is a blessed memorial; a wicked life leaves a rotten stench.*
Galatians 5:13 (KJV)..... *For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.*
