Romans 5:12 says, Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

This verse reminds us of the sin that has plagued humanity since Adam’s fall, and as we look around today, we see increasing wickedness being celebrated as progress.

The Bible warns us in 1 John 2:15-17, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

In these last days, the devil blinds many with temporary pleasures, distracting us from the truth and pulling our hearts away from God. He entertains us with the fleeting joys of this world, making us forget that judgment is coming.

Colossians 3:2 says, Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

We must wake up, for the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night (2 Peter 3:10). Let us not be deceived, but instead repent, watch, and prepare for Christ’s return, ensuring we are not caught unprepared.
