Good afternoon to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
I realize that I am a bit tardy today, however, the joy and peace that the day has brought far outshines the gloomy Gus mood outside my window. The littles have brought a ray of sunshine to my home this week. Though I have had to work, they have settled in and been the best little ones that you could ask for. Helpful without being asked. Today my granddaughter showed me that she was growing up … I don’t think I like that … haha… but so proud of her also. Today I watched my first little bake a cake all by herself … she was kind enough to allow me in ‘her’ kitchen. Though she did all the work herself, she was kind enough to ask a few questions so that I did not feel left out. I am pretty sure she was just being kind to her old Grammy. My heart overflows with pride and love.
I wonder if that is how God feels about us. He creates us. He places us in the correct family situation for His purpose. He nurtures and guides us. We fall so many times. We try to do things on our own. But in the end, with all our continuous faults and missteps, he only sees the growth and stamina that has come from our repeated challenges and needs for His help in our lives. Yet his heart is overflowing with Pride and Love.
Today is the day that we celebrate the birth of our rebirth before we were even born. The day that we acknowledge that a powerful, yet gentle loving man came to be human to set the example of how to live and to build the Kingdom of God. The enemy will attack on all fronts to take away the Love of today … kick him to the curb and only see the Son and the Light that He brings to all circumstances. Today, I see my Lord in my grandchildren. He came to visit today … He came to stay in my home. I am so blessed.
I pray that He has visited you today as well. Be blessed today my friends.
***Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will proclaim justice to the nations. – Matthew 12:18
