Faith That Works:
A Christian's Call.

When God spoke to Abraham, loud and clear,
“Take your son, whom you hold dear,
To the mount I’ll show, as a sacrifice—"
Faith was tested; would he pay the price?

Not merely words, but actions proved,
A faith alive, a heart that moved.
For faith without works is cold and dead,
A lifeless claim, a soul misled.

Abraham rose, his duty clear,
With Isaac walking, no trace of fear.
Fire and wood, the altar prepared,
Yet in his heart, God’s promise he shared:

“My son,” he said, “God will provide,
A lamb for the altar, by grace supplied.”
Though his steps were hard, his faith held fast,
His works revealed a trust steadfast.

The blade was raised, the moment dire,
But heaven answered with holy shout.
“Do not harm him,” the angel cried,
“For now I see your faith is tried.”

Faith is the root; works are the fruit,
The natural path of a holy pursuit.
For Christians, duty is love in deed,
To serve, to give, to meet the need.

Christ’s own life was faith in action,
A sacrifice made for our redemption.
He calls us now to walk His way,
To work His will each passing day.

As Abraham’s works upheld his trust,
So ours must shine, faithful and just.
Not to earn, but to reflect His grace,
A living witness in every place.

For faith that saves does not stand still—
It moves, it acts, it seeks God’s will.
A Christian’s duty is love made plain,
Through faith and works, God’s glory gained.
