The duty of worshiping God, lies in the circumstance that He is the Creator, and that He is to whom all other beings owe their existence. And whenever the Bible mentions Jehovah's right to our reverence and worship, with preference, rather than to pagan gods, it mentions proofs of his creative power.
"All the gods of the peoples are idols; but the LORD made the Heavens." Psalms 96:5.
“To whom then will you compare me, that I may be like him?” says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes, and see! Who created those Heavenly bodies. “Thus says the Lord, Creator of the Heavens (He alone is God), who formed the Earth and made it; I am the LORD, and there is no other God! ” Isaiah 40:25, 26; 45:18 (KJV).
The psalmist says: "Acknowledge that, The Lord He is God: it is He that made us, and not we ourselves." "Come, let us worship, and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker!" Psalms 100:3; and 95:6 (KJV).
And the saints who worship God in Heaven give the reason of the tributes that are due to Him: "Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things!" Revelation 4:11 (KJV)
In Revelation, chapter 14, men are urged to worship the Creator, and the prophecy highlights a kind of people, who, as a result of the three angels message, of Revelation 14, keep the commandments of God.
One of these commandments directly points to God as Creator.
The fourth commandment states: “Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy. The Seventh Day is the Sabbath to the LORD your God; For in six days the LORD made the Heavens and the Earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath and hallowed (sanctified) it." Exodus 20:10, 11 (KJV).
Concerning Saturday, ( the seventh day of the week) the Lord also says, that it will be a “sign, so that you may know that I am the Lord your God.” Ezekiel 20:20 (RV95).
And the reason is: "For in six days the LORD made the Heavens and the Earth the sea and the fountains of the water.
If you love Me, keep My Commandments. John 14:15
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14: 21 NKJV
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. Revelation 22:14
