Quickening By The Word And The Spirit


Psalms 119:50
50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.


Romans 8:11
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.


First Corinthians 15:36
36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die.


First Peter 3:18
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.


Quickening is making alive, restoring, renewing, refreshing, and healing. The Word of God quickens us as we read, meditate, talk, utter, mutter it. The Holy Ghost within us quickens us as we give full place to Him. We die to ourselves. We live unto Him. We set our affection on Him. He sets His affection on us. He has loved us with an everlasting love. He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world.


We worship. We glorify. We receive the quickening of the Lord at this moment. We are made alive now. We are restored, renewed, refreshed, and totally healed now. Everything of death and hell is completely removed from us now. We do arise and shine, for the glory of the Lord is risen upon us.
