Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
As I was saying my nightly prayer of thanksgiving and going over my day with Him, a very distinctive presence came across my mind. It was as though He was asking me a question. It was, “Hey, I have a question for you …. Have you forgotten anything lately?” Instantly I started retracing my steps and when it hit me…which did not take very long … I was like ‘OH CRAP.’ I have not been reading my devotions daily, nor have I been in the Word each day. I got out of my routine and did not adapt. As a matter of fact, my devotion books are still in my backpack. So out of sight, out of mind…it works. I texted my battle buddy to see how they were doing and of course … they are on track. That is why I chose them for a battle buddy. Mind you, they did confess they have struggled to not just stop, but they … so far … have persevered. Without looking, I am pretty sure I am close to a week behind. So I will be doing a lot of reading today. I did try to just do the audible version, but I cannot take notes or hear it all … so today I start the back log of reading.
The enemy is already trying to persuade me into doing nothing about the days I missed and if I must … just start with today. That tells me that there is something in the last days that I missed that I need.
My Father has been silent. He knows that I know what I must do, and he is good with my plan. He knows that I did not intentionally blow him off or neglect him. He knows that my mind has been elsewhere. His question was just a gentle reminder that I really need those words.
When you fall off your horse, you must get back on and begin again. Our Father is not upset with us, he is just guiding us back to where we strayed. Remember He is a God of Love and forgiveness. You got this.
Be blessed today my friends.
