Love covers a multitude of sins, so when we find ourselves angry or negative all around its best to look to God rather than our own emotions. If we are guided by our own emotions, pride and ego through a difficult situation we will most likely find ourselves in a much worse spot than before. Choose love, patience and understanding. Choose God.
