As you can see, I did not get a post up yesterday. I did start one and was not very far in when someone texted me that they needed a hug. Now that may seem like something that is frivolous, however, I promise you that is not. When people call, text, show up where I am for a hug, that means that they are down and need some unconditional love. All it takes to receive one of these love hugs is a message or impromptu meeting or a request from me for permission. No charge…only the charge of the Holy Spirit through me to you to help recharge your batteries. I do not let go. No matter the circumstance, I don’t let go until either you signal you are good, or if you are a flaky hugger, until the Holy Spirit says to.
If you are need of a hug and it is not possible for a physical one…such as you live across the country or in another country…I also give virtual hugs. We can chat and I will listen. Then once you have released all that you are willing to share … I will pray for you and love on you virtually.
When I received the message that required my presence elsewhere yesterday, all I did was put on a ball cap, some shoes, and a jacket. Yesterday was pj day all day. But yesterday was also unconditional loving hug day too. By days end, I was just as recharged as those I was called to interact with. God’s love is powerful.
