Here’s a thought-provoking idea for liberals: Donald Trump spent most of his life as a Democrat before launching his presidential bid. In a parallel situation, RFK Jr. was also a lifelong Democrat until he decided to support Trump by joining the Republican Party. Both of these figures have experienced a sense of abandonment by their previous political affiliation. The Democratic Party opted to disregard the needs of the 99% in favor of catering to the 1%. They effectively ignored the majority of everyday citizens and actively sought the persecution these two individuals. Ronald Reagan famously expressed this sentiment when he stated, "I didn't leave the Democratic Party; it left me." Biden has criticized billionaires who back Trump, yet he welcomed these affluent individuals when they were part of the Democratic fold. It might be beneficial for liberal Democrats to engage in some introspection and confront the core issues plaguing their party by looking in a mirror. The needs of the many should always outweigh the desires of the few. The Republican Party will always have a welcoming space for those who sincerely wish to prioritize God and country.
