Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
It is a might chilly outside today. Like ugly chilly to say the least. We had made plans to go run around but I am thinking that will wait until either snow monster in front yard from the cartoon Rudolph quits shivering or Frosty melts. Just saying. Even the dog has not left the front of the pellet stove since she went potty, and it was a quick potty.
Now I can look out my window and see how frigidly cold it is and be miserable or I can look at how frigidly cold it is outside and feel blessed that I have adequate heat in my home. Many do not. I can be disappointed that a travel day is now out of the plans, or I can see the blessing in staying home with my husband and enjoying some quality time. Since he is also feeling a bit ill, I can think of it as ‘great way to spend my day off,’ or I can think of it as an opportunity to continue to show my love for this man whom God brought to me.
Every event in our lives has a negative and a positive side. Instantly the negative will appear and the positive seems to hide, but if you really think about it, it is how we have trained our brains. It is how the enemy is, that rambunctious toddler looking for attention all the time. He jumps out immediately with all the dark and ugly quickly clouding the Light. What he has not seemed to realize is that by being children of God, the clouds do no matter…we can choose to see the Light with the haze of dark and then lean on the Light.
Yesterday I had the entire afternoon to work on a competition piece. I need to correct and amend for the new parameter. All I did was get frustrated. However, in the process of the frustration, God spoke to me on a several different issues that He needed my attention for. I may not have corrected the story, but I do have other answers that I had been seeking. The enemy wants me to abandon my story and sulk; that is not going to happen. What is going to happen is that I am going to wait for the final parameter and then I will put the puzzle together bringing glory to God.
What is your darkness today? Seek the Light and your darkness will fade. I promise.
Be blessed today my friends.
***But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. – Matthew 6:33-34
