Walking in the light
Let's look at 1 John 1:5-7.
1 John 1:5-7
(5) This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that Yahwah is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (6) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: (7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Yahwah Messiah his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
“Yahwah Messiah is light”. That is a very simple statement with a very deep meeting.
If we were in a dark 100-foot by 100-foot room and there where items in the room and we have to go from one end of the room to the other we would need light. It is the same with us as we go through this world. We need the light of Yahwah Messiah to get us through this dark, dark world.
We need the light of Yahwah Messiah to get us through the darkness in our own world sometimes. Death in the family, loss of employment, rejection.
The only constant in this world is the word of Yawah. We can lean upon His word at any time. It says in Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Also, in Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
It also says in 1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that Elohim is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
We see that In Him, Yahwah, there is no darkness. I heard some time ago, although I’m not sure where, the simplest definition of darkness and that is that darkness is the absence of light. This so true in this world today. This world is in darkness. Not in physical darkness but spiritual darkness!
As we go over into the New Testament, we can see that Yahwah Messiah is our light.
John 8:12 Then spake Yahwah Messiah again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Finally, Yahwah Messiah said…
John 12:35-36 Then Yahwah Messiah said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake YHWH, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
Does it seem like you are you walking in darkness? Step out of darkness today and walk in the marvelous light of Yahwah’s word today.
